Who we are
checkmAIt builds and operates AI systems that answer and follow up enquiries for businesses, mostly estate agencies and property businesses.
checkmAIt is a brand owned and operated by JMT Media Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 16015121. Our registered office is 38 Pinfold Close, Repton, Derby, DE65 6FR, United Kingdom. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean JMT Media Limited trading as checkmAIt.
Our text messages
When you make an enquiry or book on one of our websites and tick the box to receive texts, checkmAIt sends you text messages about that enquiry or booking.
The messages are about:
- confirming a tour, call or appointment you booked, and reminding you before it
- rescheduling or cancelling that booking
- replying to a question or enquiry you sent us
- following up once on the service you asked about
Messages may be written or sent automatically by an AI system. A person can take over the conversation at any time. If you would rather speak to a person, say so in your reply.
Messages come from checkmAIt, and the first message you receive names checkmAIt. We do not send messages on behalf of other businesses under this program.
How you opt in
You opt in by ticking the text message box on one of our web forms, such as the tour and enquiry forms at demo.thecheckmait.com. The box is unticked when the form loads. It sits beside a statement that you agree to receive texts from checkmAIt, how often, that message and data rates may apply, and how to opt out, with links to this page and our privacy policy.
- Ticking the box is optional. You can submit the form without it, and you will not receive texts.
- Consent is not a condition of any purchase or of using any of our services.
- We record the time and the form you opted in on, so we can show when and how you agreed.
- We never buy, rent or borrow phone numbers, and we never text anyone who has not opted in.
How often, and what it costs
- Message frequency varies. It depends on your enquiry or booking. Most people receive between one and five messages per enquiry.
- Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard charges apply to messages you send and receive. We do not charge you for texts.
How to stop messages
Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You can also reply STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT. You will receive one message confirming that you have opted out, and after that no more messages from us.
Opting out takes effect straight away. If you change your mind, reply START to the same number to opt back in.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any message for help, or email privacy@thecheckmait.com. A person reads that inbox.
Your mobile number and privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with, sold to or bought from any third party. The only exception is the subcontractors who provide the service, such as our messaging platform, and they use it solely to deliver the messages.
Our privacy policy explains what we collect, how long we keep it and your rights over it. Its section on SMS and text messaging applies to these messages.
Carriers and delivery
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Messages are sent to mobile numbers in the United States. Delivery to other countries is not guaranteed.
- You must be 18 or over, and the account holder or authorised user of the mobile number you give us.
Using this website
You can use thecheckmait.com and our demo sites to learn about our services, try our demos and contact us. Please do not misuse them, including by entering someone else's phone number without their permission, trying to break or overload the forms, or copying the sites for commercial use.
Our demo sites are not real businesses. checkmAIt Real Estate at demo.thecheckmait.com is a fictional brokerage built by checkmAIt to show how our systems respond to enquiries. Its listings, prices and agents are not real, and nothing on it is an offer to buy, sell or rent property.
We work to keep the sites accurate and available, but we provide them as they are and cannot promise they will always be error free or online. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We update these terms when what we do changes, or when the rules do. The date at the top always shows the current version. If a change affects how we text you, we will not rely on your old consent for anything it did not cover.
